In Latvia! Got here this morning but have been travelling so much I went to take a short nap and woke up at 10pm. Will start sight-seeing tomorrow. Definitely very different from the UK where I have spent most of my time so far. Even the plane ride- Everyone clapped when the plane landed successfully. Is this a thing? Or were they genuinely relieved that we made it alive? Either way, very strange.
On a very positive note, I was worried that I had like no money left for the remainder of my trip, but its not true! I am not in dire straights! I have plenty of cash left to get me through the next week!
My trip so far has been great! Spent about 5 days in London-including New Years- and then 2 days in Scotland and now I am here. We aren’t going to Paris anymore, not enough time. We will go to visit some friends North of London instead. The hills and the castles and the vibe of Scotland was amazing. We took the bus so on the journey back to London we saw the English countryside. Very beautiful. I want to live in the hills and raise sheep. I kept thinking the entire time, “That’ll do pig, That’ll do” (from Babe, if you somehow had a deprived childhood and have no idea what I’m talking about), but that is exactly what it reminded me of.
I wish we had more time and could see so much more of Europe, but I will just have to come back soon and do it all again!
